Haaretz, an Israeli daily newspaper, quoted an internal army report as indicating that Jewish settlers have carried out more than 100 attacks against Palestinians during the past ten days alone.

The newspaper

said that "while the Israeli Defence Force ( IDF) Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi, Prime Minister Yair Lapid, and Defense Minister Benny Gantz condemned settlers' attacks on Israeli soldiers in the town of Hawara in the West Bank, at dawn on Thursday, they refrained from addressing the successive settlers' attacks on Palestinians.

However, the Minister of the Palestinian government, Muayyad Shaaban, head of the Committee against the Wall and Settlement Resistance, was injured yesterday (Friday), as a result of one of a series of attacks carried out by the Israeli army, in which more than two hundred Palestinians were wounded, including a boy who was seriously injured, and a foreign solidarity person was moderately injured.

Palestinian sources said that Minister Shaaban was participating in an olive-picking activity with farmers, in the town of Qafin, north of Tulkarm.

He was rushed to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm on the West Bank.
