Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian vehicles in an attack on the town of Deir Sharaf, northwest of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to eyewitnesses and local reports.
Witnesses told Anadolu Agency that settlers arrived in several civilian vehicles and torched a bulldozer, a pickup truck, and other cars parked at an auto repair site on the outskirts of the town.
They also attempted to attack nearby homes but were unable to enter them, the witnesses added.
In a separate incident in the Masoudia archaeological area, also northwest of Nablus, around 30 masked settlers set part of a tourist tent on fire before local residents confronted them and forced them to withdraw, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The attacks are part of a broader wave of settler violence across the West Bank since Saturday evening, which has left at least seven Palestinians injured and caused damage to vehicles and homes, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent and official sources.
Data from the Palestinian Authority shows that settlers carried out 511 attacks across the West Bank in February alone. Since late February, seven Palestinians have been killed by settler gunfire.
Since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023, violence by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank has resulted in more than 1,100 Palestinian deaths, nearly 11,700 injuries, and around 22,000 arrests.
The incidents also include widespread property damage, home demolitions, displacement of residents, and continued expansion of settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which is considered occupied territory under international law.
