Israeli Occupation Continues Siege of Jericho for Eighth Day in Row

Today, Saturday, Palestinian security sources announced that the Israeli occupation authorities are continuing their siege imposed on the city of Jericho and the Aqabat Jabr camp in the south, for the eighth day in a row.

The sources indicated - according to what was reported by the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) - that the occupation forces are still present at the entrances to the city, through military checkpoints that they set up a week ago, and are restricting the movement of citizens' vehicles, and checking the identities of their passengers.

Harsh measurements applied by the Israeli authorities came as part of the so-called "collective punishment policy".

An Israeli military bulldozer belonging to the occupation closed a secondary road in the "Wadi al-Qelt" area, west of Jericho, with earth mounds.

It is noteworthy that large forces of the occupation army stormed Aqabat Jabr camp, south of the city, this morning, wounding 13 citizens, describing the condition of three of them as critical, and arresting others.
