Israeli occupation forces arrested on Wednesday 11 Palestinians from West Bank.
In the morning dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
The Israeli settlers carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area of the mosque.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to almost daily incursions by settlers in the morning and evening.
Earlier, Egypt strongly condemned Al-Aqsa Mosque’s storming by extremist groups under the protection of Israel’s forces.
In a statement, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the step constitutes a new violation of the status quo and provocation of Arab and Muslim feelings.
He stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a purely Islamic endowment for Muslims, calling for the urgent stop of any violations targeting the Arab, Islamic, and Christian identity of the city of Jerusalem and all its holy sites
The Egyptian diplomat urged the Israeli authorities to bear their responsibility in accordance with the rules of international law.
