The Israeli occupation army continues to impose a tight siege on the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, leading to widespread disruption of residents' movement.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated on Wednesday that occupation forces are continuing to reinforce their military presence in the town and intensify their field operations.
It explained that occupation forces carried out a large-scale raid campaign targeting dozens of homes, accompanied by deliberate property damage, searches of mobile phones, and reports of theft of money from some houses.
The Governorate added that occupation forces fired stun grenades extensively at residents as they attempted to leave the town, while simultaneously closing all its entrances and imposing a complete siege.
It noted that schools in Hizma announced their closure on Thursday to ensure the safety of students amidst the ongoing siege and heightened tensions.
