For the 34th consecutive day, Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to worshippers, citing security concerns related to the US-Israeli war on Iran.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Thursday that occupation police are tightening their military measures around the holy city and at the entrances to Palestinian cities and towns in the West Bank.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation continues to close the Old City, with heightened security measures at Damascus Gate, where entry is prohibited except for residents of the Old City.
Meanwhile, groups associated with the alleged Temple Mount movement continue their incitement to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound during Passover, calling for the slaughter of sacrifices within its grounds and demanding its reopening during the holiday period, which runs from April 2nd to 9th.
