On Wednesday, the extremist Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, stormed a neighborhood in the occupied city of Jaffa, under the protection of Israeli occupation police. He threatened Palestinian residents, saying, "I am the landowner, not you."
Israeli media outlets published photos of the extremist minister during his incursion into Jaffa, amidst heavy security provided by the occupation police, who were deployed in large numbers throughout the city.
The so-called "Temple Mount" organizations, in cooperation with several Israeli politicians, including Likud Knesset member Amit Halevy, launched a campaign demanding permission to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Friday, May 15, 2026, coinciding with what they call "Jerusalem Day."
