Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit Cairo within the coming few weeks, to hold talks with president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, according to Jerusalem Post (JP) newspaper.

It is scheduled that Sisi and Netanyahu talks will focus mostly on economic fields, as Israel seeks to strengthen bilateral economic ties with Egypt.

Officials from both countries are currently in talks ahead of Israeli PM visit to Cairo in the coming weeks, according to the newspaper.

JP added that Sisi-Netanyahu summit will be followed by a bilateral meeting between the economic delegation of both countries to discuss a number of joint projects, as well as ways to enhance trade relations.

"Netanyahu has a long history of meetings with the Egyptian leaders. In 2010, he met with late Egyptian president Hosny Mubarak," the newspaper said."They discussed attempts to open direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority."

It is worth mentioning that, in 2018, Sisi met with Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. They discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and other regional developments
