A Palestinian man was injured by Israeli gunfire early Tuesday morning, while six others were arrested during a raid on Ramallah and al-Bireh in the central West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews treated an elderly man who had been shot in the back with live ammunition during the raid on Jerusalem Street near al-Amari refugee camp. He was transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex.
Security sources reported that Israeli forces arrested two young men after raiding and searching their homes in al-Amari refugee camp.
They added that three young men were arrested after their homes were raided in al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiya, and another young man was arrested after his home in the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood of al-Bireh was raided.
In a related development, Israeli forces raided the al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, this morning in preparation for carrying out demolition operations.
In Bethlehem, south of the West Bank, occupation forces stormed the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, and positioned themselves in several neighborhoods. They raided a number of homes and detained 15 citizens for several hours before releasing them. They also stormed the towns of Al-Ubaidiya, Dar Salah, and Al-Shawawra, without any arrests being reported.
