Israeli occupation forces continued to impose a curfew in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, on Saturday, and also raided several areas in the West Bank.
Media activist Mohammed Awad, from Beit Ummar, told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that the curfew has been in place for the third consecutive day since Thursday evening. He noted that the forces deployed foot patrols throughout the town and searched several homes belonging to the Abu Ayyash and Ikhleil families.
The occupation forces also arrested a number of residents, blocked main and side streets with concrete blocks and earth mounds, and prevented Friday prayers from being held in all the town's mosques. They also closed more than 25 side roads within the town.
