Early Wednesday, Israeli forces entered Al-Shifa Hospital, the biggest medical facility in the Gaza Strip, for a “precise and targeted operation” to search for Hamas members and the hostages they captured on October 7.
In the same context, the operation came a few hours after the US supported the claims of the Israelis, highlighting that Hamas used the hospital as a center for the leadership and a warehouse for weapons.
The Israeli forces attacked the hospital by air raids after they surrounded the hospital.
Various battles, and exchanged fires were sparked around the hospital for days, driving the UN to call for an immediate end to all those conflicts around any medical facility in Gaza.
Medical teams at the hospital denied the reports of Hamas using for the hospital as a center for their operations, describing the Israeli claims as a “war crime, a moral crime and a crime against humanity”.
