Israeli forces carried out a series of home demolitions and military operations in southern Lebanon on Monday, escalating tensions despite a recent ceasefire agreement.
According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, Israeli troops, backed by tanks and heavy weaponry, detonated several homes in the town of Aita al-Shaab in Bint Jbeil district.
In nearby areas, such as Meis al-Jabal and Kfar Kila, Israeli forces conducted heavy gunfire sweeps and reconnaissance operations, with drones flying low over the region.
Residents reported explosions and movements of Israeli military vehicles within the villages, creating widespread alarm.
The Israeli army also conducted extensive sweeps in the southern village of Khiyam, using heavy and medium weaponry.
