Israeli Forces Conducts Several Airstrikes in Gaza Strip

Israeli forces conducted several airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Friday, targeting various locations including the southern city of Rafah.

This military incursion into Rafah began in early May, despite international objections regarding the safety of civilians in the area.

A recent strike in a displacement camp resulted in a fire and numerous casualties, leading to widespread condemnation. Witnesses reported airstrikes in Rafah, as well as in central Gaza's Nuseirat, with intense bombardment in the north.

Medical sources confirmed that strikes in two separate locations caused the death of 11 individuals. The Israeli military stated that their troops are continuing operational activities in the Rafah area, where they discovered rocket launchers, weapons, and tunnel shafts.

Additionally, an airstrike successfully targeted and eliminated a militant in the area. In central Gaza, further airstrikes eliminated several terrorists who were operating near Israeli troops.

Israel, which has vowed to destroy Hamas following an attack by the Palestinian militant group, announced that its forces had taken control of the 14-kilometer Philadelphi corridor along the Gaza-Egypt border, alleging weapons smuggling in that area.
