An Israeli military patrol entered Syria’s southern Daraa province on Friday in a renewed incursion into the area, according to local sources, as tensions continue to escalate along the Syrian-Israeli frontier.

The patrol, consisting of three military vehicles, entered the Wadi al-Raqad area in the western countryside of Daraa, within the Yarmouk Basin, during the morning hours, local sources reported. No casualties or injuries were reported following the operation.

The latest move comes amid continued Israeli military activity in southern Syria, with Damascus accusing Israel of repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement that established a buffer zone between Syrian and Israeli forces following the 1973 war.

Syrian authorities have repeatedly called on the international community to intervene, demanding an end to what they describe as ongoing violations and urging Israel to withdraw fully from Syrian territory.

The reported incursion comes as wider regional tensions remain elevated, with security developments unfolding across southern Syria and neighboring areas.

In Syria’s southern Sweida province, reports also indicated a security escalation, including allegations of heavy weapons attacks targeting internal security positions.

Meanwhile, Lebanon continues to face the consequences of Israeli military operations. According to Lebanon’s Emergency Operations Center at the Ministry of Public Health, the cumulative death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has reached 4,301 fatalities, with 12,199 people injured.
