Israeli Foreign Minister (FM) Gideon Sa'ar stated that Hamas is deliberately starving the hostages held in the Gaza Strip and is attempting to impose conditions to remain in power.
“We are looking forward to ending the Gaza war and bringing the hostages home,” he said.
In a press conference, Sa’ar demanded the “immediate and unconditional release of the hostages in Gaza.”
He also announced that he would participate in a UN Security Council session tomorrow to discuss the hostage issue, adding that the establishment of a Palestinian state would hinder any potential deal to secure their release.
Sa’ar further criticized recent actions by France, the United Kingdom, and Canada, describing them as “a gift to Hamas.”
