Israel's security cabinet on Wednesday night approved escalating airstrikes into the Gaza Strip.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that they will not accept a ceasefire, affirming that the army will wage a strong battle on Gaza for a whole week.
Moreover, Netanyahu had declared that he would hold a meeting for the Ministerial Committee on National Security Affairs to discuss the "difficult developments" that took place in recent days.
The PM held the meeting to appraise the situation in the city of Acre, which witnessed last night unrest due to the recent Israel-Palestine escalation.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces attacked Palestinian Arabs and their properties in major towns inside Israel, including Jaffa and Lydda, with videos showing them attacking shops owned by Arabs.
They also attempted to vandalize mosques in both cities and attempted to set them on fire before residents clashed with them and forced them to run away, according to WAFA news agency.
Furthermore, Israeli settlers attacked the northern West Bank town of Burin, south of Nablus, and demolished part of a house under construction, according to local sources.
It is said that the settlers sneaked into the outskirts of the town, demolished part of the house and set fire to fields.
Recently, settler violence against the civilian Palestinian population and their properties has been on the rise in the occupied territories.
