Israel cabinet approved on Sunday the normalization deal with Bahrain, which now awaits Knesset ratification, according to Reuters.
In remarks to Army Radio, Likud Minister Tzachi Hanegbi revealed that the deal, signed at a White House ceremony on Sept. 15 where the United Arab Emirates also established formal ties with Israel, was unanimously approved by Netanyahu’s cabinet.
It is worth mentioning that, Bahrain’s cabinet approved the accord on Oct. 19.
Last August, UAE became the first Arab nation to normalize relations with Israel since Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, followed by Bahrain and Sudan.
