On Sunday, the Israeli army targeted the Al-Ahli Al-Arabi Hospital (Al-Ma’madani) in Gaza City as part of its ongoing attacks in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian News Agency *WAFA*, Israeli artillery directly struck the top floor of the hospital, which is the only functioning medical facility in northern Gaza after Kamal Adwan Hospital was rendered completely inoperative following its destruction and the burning of several departments.
On Friday, the Israeli army stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital, set it ablaze, and forced it out of service. The assault included detaining more than 350 individuals inside the hospital, including its director, Dr. Hossam Abu Safia, along with 180 medical staff, 75 patients, and their companions. All were taken to an undisclosed location.
The attack on Al-Ma’madani Hospital is part of what observers are calling a systematic targeting of medical infrastructure in Gaza, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
