Successive explosions rocked the Israeli city of Eilat on the Red Sea coast as a result of intercepted missiles likely coming from Yemen, Hebrew media reported.
The Israeli media described the anti-interceptor missiles as large and not an Iron Dome or anything similar.
It was likely that the interception missiles were from the "Haetz-(Arrow)" system or another system of the same model, which indicates that the missiles that were intercepted were "mostly from Yemen."
The Israeli army spokesman said, "The air defense intercepted an air threat that was detected in the Red Sea area south of Eilat.
He claimed that no danger to the population was detected, and no entry into the target into Israeli territory was detected."
The spokesman added, "It appears that this was another attack by the Houthis from Yemen."
Earlier, during the daylight hours of Tuesday, the military spokesman for the Houthi "Ansar Allah" movement, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the launching of a batch of ballistic missiles and drones at Israeli sites.
