Israeli Army kills Palestinian Citizen in West Bank

On Thursday, the Israeli army killed a Palestinian citizen in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian medical and security sources reported.

In a statement, the Israeli army revealed that its troops had shot at an armed man who fired on soldiers during an operation to arrest a wanted suspect in Nablus.

The victim, who is called Bakir Hashash, 21, and a resident of the Balata refugee camp, was shot in the head after the Israeli army stormed an area east of the northern city of Nablus to make arrests, Palestinian sources revealed.

These provocative steps by the Israeli side may cause a significant escalation in tensions and result in numerous clashes and rots, international media noted.

According to human rights institutions and UN reports, Palestinian civilians have been killed almost daily because of the excessive and indiscriminate use of force by the Israeli army against civilians and residents.

In their remarks, the Palestinian groups indicated that the Israeli army killed them, not distinguishing between civilians and combatants.
