Israeli Army Besieges Hizma in West Bank, Arrests 25 Palestinians

The Israeli army arrested at dawn today, Thursday, 25 Palestinians, including teachers, fathers, and their sons, and liberated prisoners from the town of Hizma, Jerusalem district, and they were transferred for investigation by the security services.

The Israeli army carried out a campaign of raids and arrests of homes in the town of Hizma, which included field investigations.

It is noteworthy that, at dawn on Monday, army bulldozers demolished 10 shops in the town of Hizma, under strict police protection, claiming that these shops are located in an area under the control of the Jerusalem municipality of Israel.

The town of Hizma, which is located in the center of the West Bank, and through which a road connects the north to the south of the West Bank, is subjected to continuous violations by the Israeli army, by restricting and arresting its residents, sabotaging and demolishing their properties, and seizing their lands for the benefit of the settlements.

The Israeli forces also targeted, with artillery, a monitoring point belonging to field control, southeast of Gaza City after an Israeli Ministry of Defense worker was wounded in the leg by fire from the Strip.

The Israeli army also bombed two monitoring points for field control north of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.

And Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that "due to the shooting incident on the Gaza border, the army ordered the farmers in the Gaza envelope to evacuate the fields near the border until further notice."

And the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, "3 civilians were wounded by the occupation's bullets in the Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, one of whom was described as serious."

And the Ministry of Health stated in a statement, that "a serious injury with live bullets in the abdomen was taken to the operating rooms, and two injuries with live ammunition in the lower extremities, and they arrived at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah."
