The Israeli army announced on Wednesday morning that 9 of its soldiers were killed in clashes in the northern Gaza Strip during the ongoing ground offensive.
The Israeli army published, via the “X” platform, the names of nine of its soldiers that it said were killed in Gaza.
The army statement revealed: "In addition, during yesterday's fighting, two soldiers were seriously injured."
The Gaza Strip has witnessed intense Israeli bombing since last October 7, after the Commander-in-Chief of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Muhammad al-Deif, announced the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” to put an end to “Israeli violations,” according to what he said.
Hamas' fighters captured a number of Israelis, including soldiers and officers, and brought them to the Gaza Strip.
