The Israeli army announced that it had targeted and wounded a "terrorist squad" that was planting explosives along the border fence with Syria in the Golan Heights, according to Sky News Arabia.
"A special force that carried out an ambush in the area of the southern Golan Heights near a military site monitored a cell that contained a number of saboteurs and was planting explosive devices near the border tourists,” a statement read.

“The military force, along with a military plane, opened fire on the cell consisting of 4 terrorists and wounded them,” the statement added.
"There were no casualties among our forces. The northern military command forces remain on high alert to face all scenarios.”
The Israeli army stated that it holds the Syrian army responsible for any action emanating from its territory, and that "it will not allow prejudice” to the sovereignty of the Jewish state.
