Israel’s military chief has vowed to continue operations against Hezbollah with full force, signaling no immediate halt to Israeli strikes in Lebanon as tensions along the northern front continue to escalate.

Chief of Staff of the Israeli military, Eyal Zamir, said Wednesday that Israel will continue striking Hezbollah “with full force and without pause” until northern Israeli communities are secured. His remarks underline Israel’s determination to sustain military pressure amid ongoing cross-border hostilities.

An Israeli security source said the latest strikes on Lebanon do not represent a final wave of attacks and are not linked to any concern over potential U.S. pressure to limit military operations. According to the source, Israeli forces will continue their campaign until political leaders issue direct orders to stop.

The Israeli military also announced that it had carried out what it described as its most intense assault on Lebanon since the beginning of the current phase of operations, targeting more than 100 sites within just 10 minutes. The scale and speed of the strikes mark a significant escalation in military activity.

Israeli officials say the campaign is aimed at degrading Hezbollah’s military capabilities and preventing continued threats to communities in northern Israel, many of which have faced repeated rocket and drone attacks amid months of confrontation.

The latest escalation comes as regional and international actors continue efforts to prevent a broader conflict. However, Israel’s statements suggest that military operations are likely to continue in the near term unless a political or diplomatic breakthrough is reached.
