Israeli officials have indicated that efforts are underway to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza lasting 60 days, according to Israel’s public broadcaster.

The development comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to halt the fighting between Israel and Hamas, which continues to be described as a “structured organization,” according to comments from the military secretary to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as cited by Israeli media.

Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that Israel has agreed to the necessary terms for implementing a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza. Trump stated that during this pause in hostilities, the United States intends to work with all parties involved to seek a permanent end to the conflict.

“I hope Hamas will accept the ceasefire, because the situation could deteriorate further,” Trump warned, urging the resistance group to engage constructively in negotiations.

Trump also revealed that Egypt and Qatar will be tasked with presenting the final proposal for the Gaza truce, highlighting their ongoing efforts to mediate peace. “Egypt and Qatar are working hard to help achieve peace in Gaza,” he said.

Regional actors and international stakeholders are closely watching the talks, as any ceasefire could provide a crucial window for diplomatic solutions and humanitarian relief in the embattled territory.
