UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, and his counterparts, the Israeli Gabi Ashkenazi and the German Heiko Maas visited on Tuesday the Holocaust Museum and the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin.
This visit paves the upcoming meeting of the three ministers, in which they will discuss several files, including ways to develop bilateral relations and establish the foundations for peace.
The Israeli Foreign Minister and his Emirati counterpart exchanged greetings by striking elbows, as part of the measurements to limit the outbreak of the new Coronavirus; this is the first direct meeting between them after signing the peace treaty in September at the White House in the presence of US President Donald Trump.
This historic event, which took place in the South Lawn of the White House, witnessed the attendance of about 700 guests.
Trump said, in his speech to a huge number of officials: "We are here to change the trajectory of history. We are taking a historic step thanks to these three countries, in order to promote peace and prosperity."
He explained that Israel, the UAE and Bahrain will exchange embassies and "will coordinate their efforts in tourism, trade, health care and security."
