Israel has announced plans to establish permanent military outposts along the border with Lebanon and in the occupied Syrian Golan, a move it says is aimed at enhancing security preparedness and countering growing threats in the region.

Israeli military officials stated that these outposts will include advanced surveillance centers, air defense systems, and ammunition depots as part of a broader strategy to strengthen military presence in border areas.

Israeli sources indicated that this decision comes in response to the recent escalation with Hezbollah and ongoing tensions along the northern front. The past months have seen intense exchanges of fire between the two sides, along with increasing threats from Iran-backed factions in Syria.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese government and Hezbollah condemned Israel’s decision, calling it a violation of Lebanese sovereignty and a threat to regional stability. Damascus also warned that any Israeli military buildup in the occupied Golan would be considered a "serious escalation" that could lead to further conflict.

This development comes amid growing concerns over the potential for a wider confrontation in the region, especially as Israeli airstrikes continue to target military movements inside Syria, which Tel Aviv claims are linked to Iranian forces posing a security threat.

Israel has not provided a specific timeline for the construction of these outposts, but military reports suggest work on some sites has already begun. Analysts warn that this move could further heighten tensions along the northern borders in the coming months.
