The Israeli military said it had carried out strikes targeting infrastructure linked to Iran inside the capital, Tehran, in a significant escalation that underscores the deepening confrontation between the two sides.

The announcement followed high-level security consultations within Israel, as military officials raised the state of alert along the northern front. Reinforcements, including multiple divisions, have reportedly been deployed near the Lebanese border amid fears of further escalation.

Israeli sources claimed that recent operations have destroyed a large portion of missile-launching platforms used by Iranian-linked forces, while noting a shift toward mobile and temporary launch sites by elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) .

Meanwhile, tensions remain high along Israel’s northern frontier, with reports of expanded ground movements and preparations for potential cross-border operations.

The developments come against the backdrop of continued regional instability, with overlapping conflicts stretching from Lebanon and Syria to Iraq and Yemen, raising concerns among international observers about the possibility of a broader war in the Middle East.
