Israeli occupation authorities have raised the alert level to its highest point across the occupied territories in anticipation of a possible Iranian response, following the Israeli airstrikes on the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Sunday.

According to instructions from the Home Front Command, gatherings have been limited to a maximum of 5,000 people throughout the occupied territories, and major events have been canceled. The airspace will remain open at this stage, following an assessment of the situation by the Ministry of Transportation, and the education system will continue to operate as usual.

Israeli occupation forces attacked the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in the deaths of three people and several injuries, according to initial reports. Lebanese media outlets reported that several missiles struck Al-Ghadir Square in the Beirut suburbs.

Al-Mayadeen news channel also reported that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting a five-story building in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that this directly threatens the continuation of the diplomatic process with Washington.

Qalibaf asserted that the raid was carried out with a "green light from the US" and demonstrated the United States' unwillingness or inability to fulfill its previous commitments to neutralize the southern suburbs of Beirut.

For his part, the deputy commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Base stated regarding the Israeli attack on the southern suburbs that "the Zionists' crimes in the southern suburbs will not go unanswered."
