On Tuesday, the Israeli Minister of interior Ayelet Shaked proposed to the cabinet building new settlements in the occupied Syrian Golan.

Despite the fact that Israel doesn't have the right and global legitimacy to proceed to build new settlements in the occupied Arabian territory, according to all international conventions relating to this topic, the Israeli government plans to approve the construction of new housing units across the Syrian Golan, according to domestic media.

After the Israeli-Arab war in 1967, Israelis occupied the Gaza Strip, West Bank, Golan Heights, and much of the Sinai Peninsula. Subsequently, the Jews commenced the construction of settlements. However, Arabs objected to it, and since then, both the communities have been trading barbs over the occupied land.
