Multiple fires broke out in various areas across Israel on Friday, the strongest of which have resulted in many to be evacuated from their homes, and houses to go up in flames, according to Israeli media reports.

The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that thousands of homes have been evacuated and the flames have not yet been brought under control.

The newspaper added that dozens of firefighting crews and aircraft are trying to control the large fires near the Modiin settlement in the Wadi Ara region and near the Galil.

All residents of Al- Sanawbar village had been evacuated from their homes, and that evacuation had begun in Umm Al- Qutuf and the Galil neighborhood due to forest fires.

More than 25 firefighters and six firefighting planes have been asked to control the flames in the Oranim village area near the Modiin settlement.

On its part, the Israeli police had evacuated homes in the area, which is inhabited by about 2,500 people.

Instructions were issued to residents of Al-Sanawbar village to cut off electricity and gas in anticipation of a disaster due to fires.

"Large blazes near six communities led to thousands of residents being evacuated, with one leading a section of the major Route 6 highway to be closed. Two people were lightly hurt by smoke inhalation in one incident," the JPost reported.
