Israel has moved 16 military positions from behind the so-called “yellow line” deeper into the Gaza Strip, according to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The BBC said the repositioning took place in several areas across northern Gaza, including Beit Lahia, Jabalia, and the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, amid ongoing military operations in the enclave.
The “yellow line” is commonly referenced as a demarcation line used by Israeli forces during military operations. The transfer of positions deeper into Gaza comes amid heightened tensions and continued clashes in multiple areas of the territory.
Israeli authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the report, while the situation on the ground remains fluid.
