The Israeli police announced today, Wednesday, that two explosions occurred near two bus stations in Jerusalem, 30 minutes apart from the two explosions that took place today.

The Israeli police added that the two explosions are suspected of being a “Palestinian attack,” according to Reuters news agency.

Rescue personnel said that an explosion that occurred at a bus station at the entrance to Jerusalem injured 12 people, two of them seriously, while a second explosion at another station destroyed a bus and injured three others.

Later, the Israeli police announced the death of one of the injured.

The "Hamas" and "Islamic Jihad" movements resistant blessed the double bombing in Jerusalem. Hamas said in a press statement that what happened in Jerusalem was "a qualitative heroic operation that comes within the framework of the continuous response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, its Judaization, and attempts to divide it."

The statement indicated that the Jerusalem operation is the result of the crimes of the occupation and settlers against the Palestinian people and its sanctities.

The Islamic movement reaffirms that Israeli terrorism will only be met by more heroic operations with a variety of means and different regions."
