Residents of Tel Aviv, the capital city of Israel, and its surroundings heard Tuesday sirens as rocket salvoes were fired from inside the Gaza Strip.
According to the Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom, the alarm sirens were heard in the city of Tel Aviv and its surroundings, especially in Gush Dan, as a result of rocket salvoes being fired at the city from Gaza.
The Israeli Channel 7 also confirmed that the city of Tel Aviv and central Israel in general were subjected to heavy bombardment, without announcing any significant casualties among the Israeli ranks.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant rejected the possibility of reaching a humanitarian truce until the Palestinian factions release more than 240 hostages held in the Gaza Strip.
Gallant indicated that international pressure on Israel will increase, but stressed that military operations will continue during the coming period.
