The Israeli Army announced on Wednesday the end of a two-day aggression on Jenin and its refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, which resulted in the deaths of 12 Palestinians. An army spokesperson stated that "the operation has officially ended and soldiers have left the Jenin area."

The military operation in the Jenin camp, which began on Monday, involved hundreds of soldiers and included airstrikes using drones and bulldozers. Elite units from various army and security forces also participated in the operation.

On the other hand, seven people were injured in a hit-and-run and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, carried out by a Palestinian who was subsequently shot dead by a civilian.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza praised what they called a "heroic and qualitative" operation in response to the "Israeli crimes in Jenin," where ten Palestinians were killed and around 100 were injured, 20 of them critically, by the Israeli army on Monday, which said its goal was to "eliminate weapons and militants" in the area.

More than 100 Palestinians were arrested and thousands were forced to evacuate the Jenin camp.

Médecins Sans Frontières condemned the Israeli army's use of tear gas inside Khalil Suleiman hospital in Jenin, calling it "unacceptable."

During a visit to a military base near Jenin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to "eliminate terrorism" and said, "We will not allow Jenin to return to being a hotbed of terrorism."

Before this operation, Israel had escalated its raids and incursions in the northern West Bank following attacks on Israelis. Israeli settlers also carried out raids on several Palestinian towns, burning properties, cars, and crops.
