The Israeli Minister of Communications announced on Saturday that Tel Aviv will halt all ties with SpaceX, owned by businessman Elon Musk, due to the latter allowing the use of Starlink systems in Gaza.

Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi criticized the businessman for his decision, saying: “Hamas will use it [Starlink satellite communications] to carry out terrorist activities. There is no doubt about it, we know, and Musk knows. My office will cut all ties with SpaceX.”

After the interruption of communications and Internet services in the Gaza Strip yesterday evening, Friday, due to the massive and intense Israeli raids, a number of international institutions, the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that they were unable to provide any services in light of the interruption of communication with their units.

Yesterday evening, the Palestinian telecommunications company “Jawwal” confirmed the complete interruption of communications and Internet services in the Gaza Strip, after Israel announced the expansion of its ground operations in the Strip.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said, “The Israeli forces are working to expand the scope of ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip.” Gaza strip".

Activists on social media, specifically on the “X” platform owned by Elon Musk, quickly launched a campaign demanding that the businessman provide the Gaza Strip with a “Starlink satellite communications” system, similar to what he did in Ukraine.

Elon Musk responded to the activists' demands, stressing that he would provide recognized international organizations in the Gaza Strip with access to the communications of the Starlink satellite network.

Musk explained on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter): “Starlink will provide communication to internationally recognized organizations that provide assistance in Gaza.”
