On Sunday, the Israeli military announced on Sunday a "temporary tactical pause" in military operations in three specific areas of the Gaza Strip, in what it described as part of broader steps to ease the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the war-torn enclave.

According to a statement cited by Reuters, the daily pause will take effect from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time (07:00–17:00 GMT) in the areas of Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City.

The Israeli army did not specify how long the pause would continue, only noting that it would remain "until further notice."

This announcement comes shortly after the military said it had taken several measures aimed at mitigating the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where conditions have sharply deteriorated amid months of intense fighting.

The pause is not a full ceasefire and is limited to specified zones, with military operations continuing elsewhere in the Strip. Humanitarian agencies have repeatedly called for safe corridors and cessation of hostilities to allow for aid deliveries and the evacuation of the wounded.

It remains unclear how this tactical move will impact broader ceasefire negotiations or influence the ongoing conflict dynamics in the region.
