The Israeli army said Thursday that two of its soldiers were killed in Gaza, bringing the total number of its deaths to 85 since the start of the ground attack in the Strip, i24 TV News channel reported.
The army explained that one of the soldiers died from wounds he sustained in battles that broke out the day before yesterday in the southern Gaza Strip, while the second died in the center of the Strip.
On the other hand, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said that army forces attacked dozens of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip last night.
Hagari pointed out that violent clashes took place in the Jabalia camp area in northern Gaza, and said that ground forces attacked a military site of the Jabalia Brigade, affiliated with the Hamas movement.
Intense Israeli attacks in Gaza have been renewed since last Friday, following a week-long humanitarian truce that allowed the entry of aid into the Strip and the exchange of some detainees held by both Israel and the Hamas movement.
