ISIS Gunmen Attack Guards of Oil Field in Syrian Eastern Countryside

Deir Ezzor Province: From the flank of the Hawi Al-Hawayij area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, gunmen riding motorcycles who are likely members of "ISIS" cells shot the guards of the "Al-Omar" oil field before escaping to an unidentified location.

In a parallel situation, the oil field guards reacted to the gunmen's attack, which produced panic and anxiety among the populace and led farmers and agricultural workers to flee to land next to an irrigation canal in Al-Hawayij town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. No reported causalities have yet been found.

In the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, near Al-Shuhayl town, an SDF fighter was shot by ISIS cells on March 9, resulting in significant injuries, according to SOHR. The incident occurred on the road leading to the Al-Omar oil field.

It is important to note that ISIS cells' activities expand in regions under SDF control through surprise assaults against civilians, combatants, and Autonomous Administration employees.
