Dr. Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, participated in the activities of the first Saudi Water Week, held from June 28 to July 2, 2026.
Sewilam toured the accompanying exhibition, which features a number of companies and exhibitors specializing in water technology, desalination, reuse, and digital solutions.
This reflects the shared interest in exchanging expertise and learning about the latest practical solutions in the water sector.
The Saudi Water Week serves as a regional and international platform that brings together water sector stakeholders to discuss challenges related to achieving water security and the sustainability of natural resources, as well as to enhance the exchange of expertise and partnerships in this field.
The week's activities are scheduled to include several panel discussions, workshops, and specialized exhibitions.
It will also host the 7th Arab Water Forum and the Second Consultative Meeting for the 11th World Water Forum, "Riyadh 2027."
Sewilam is participating in a number of ministerial panel discussions focusing on water resource management, achieving water security, climate change adaptation, and utilizing innovative solutions and modern technology to enhance the sustainability of the water sector.
On the sidelines of the event, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation will also hold several bilateral meetings with ministers, senior officials, and representatives of regional and international organizations to discuss ways to strengthen joint cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of sustainable water resource management.
