Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defense Helen McEntee visited Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) warehouses in the city of Al-Arish to follow up on Egypt's efforts in receiving and preparing humanitarian aid destined for the people of the Gaza Strip.
During the visit, McEntee was briefed on the mechanisms for storing and processing food, medical, and relief supplies in preparation for their delivery to the Gaza Strip through the border crossings, as part of Egypt's ongoing role in supporting the Palestinian people.
The Irish FM listened to a detailed briefing from ERC officials regarding the volume of aid received and the coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the swift delivery of assistance to those in need within the Gaza Strip.
Moreover, FM expressed her appreciation for the significant efforts made by Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent in supporting the people of Gaza, emphasizing the critical importance of ensuring the continuous flow of humanitarian aid given the current circumstances.
