Iran Conducts Military Exercise in Arabian Gulf

On Thursday, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) conducted the second phase of the latest maritime exercises in the waters of the Arabian Gulf, before Asaluyeh port.

Irna agency reported that the Iranian military Basij troops participated in the exercises alongside 700 military boats on the occasion of Qasem Soleimani assassination's anniversary.

IRGC commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami and commander of IRGC Navy Alireza Tangsiri witnessed the drills.

In the same context, Salami expressed that the Iranian troops are always ready to defend the country's security adding that there are various secret arms that will be witnessed in the battle-field.

Furthermore, he explained that these drills carried a certain message which is the tight relationship between the Iranian army, and the Iranian people and how they are capable of defending the state and its waters borders including the Gulf.

On Tuesday, Iran launched the first phase of exercises featuring a wide array of Iranian produced drones.

These drills came days after Iran's blocked a South Korean tanker in the Hormuz strait waters.
