Ireland’s Dublin Airport announced on Friday the cancellation of hundreds of flights as Storm Eunice swept across the country, bringing fierce winds reaching speeds of up to 114 mph.

The storm has caused widespread disruption, with several airports in the region impacted by its severe weather conditions.

Dublin Airport reported that over 200 departing and arriving flights were canceled due to the storm.

Travelers have been warned that more cancellations and delays are possible throughout the day as the storm continues to batter the region.

In addition to Dublin, Glasgow and Edinburgh airports in Scotland also experienced significant disruptions, with dozens of flights canceled due to the storm’s impact.

The powerful winds and hazardous conditions have made air travel challenging, with authorities advising passengers to check the status of their flights before traveling to the airports.

The storm’s fierce winds and heavy rain have caused widespread power outages, leaving over 560,000 homes, farms, and businesses without electricity.
