Iraq’s ambassador to Egypt and permanent representative to the Arab League, Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, met with Yemen’s ambassador Khaled Mahfouz Bahah to discuss bilateral ties and regional coordination, according to a statement from the Iraqi Embassy.
The meeting, held at the Yemeni Embassy in Cairo, focused on strengthening relations between the two countries and aligning positions on key regional and international developments. Both diplomats emphasized the importance of joint Arab action and the need to overcome political and security challenges facing the region.
Khalaf and Bahah also highlighted the long-standing friendship between Iraq and Yemen, underscoring the need for deeper cooperation across diplomatic and multilateral platforms.
They affirmed their countries’ commitment to supporting stability in the Arab region and intensifying consultation within the framework of the Arab League.
