Iraqi Petroleum Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar discussed on Thursday with his Syrian counterpart Bassam Taema the possibility of transporting Egyptian natural gas to Iraq via Syria.
Therefore, Abdul Jabbar affirmed Iraq’s will to boost its relations with all world countries including the Arab and neighboring ones in various fields like economy, and energy for developing the oil industry in the country.
The Iraqi minister highlighted that both examined common interest issues regarding the possibility of transporting Egyptian natural gas through Syria.
Also, they reviewed the chances of cooperation in oil, energy, experience exchange, and training fields, official statement.
On his side, Taema expressed his sincere happiness for his visit to Iraq and meeting Iraqi officials.
He concluded that the talks highlighted several discussions and plans for future projects.
