Iraqi Resistance Targets Southern Israel in Support of Gaza and Lebanon

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced early Wednesday that it had launched an attack on what it described as a "vital target" in southern Israel, declaring the action as support for Palestine and Lebanon.

The Israeli military reported intercepting a drone that entered Israeli airspace from the east, triggering air raid sirens across the Arava Valley, a region spanning from the Dead Sea to the coastal city of Eilat on the Red Sea.

On Tuesday, the Iraqi resistance had released a statement confirming that its forces attacked a significant target in the Israeli city of Eilat.

This is part of a series of ongoing attacks launched by Iraqi armed factions in support of the Gaza resistance, which have intensified since Israel expanded its military operations to include Lebanon. Over recent months, Iraqi factions have targeted Israeli sites, including Eilat, using drones and rockets, pledging continued operations as part of their support for the wider resistance movement.
