“The continuation of the pandemic in any city or town means that the entire human race is at risk; it is important to consider the dissimilarity between the economical countries’ resources and to take the necessary measures to provide the vaccine to the countries with limited resources,” Salih said during the United Nations Coronavirus Pandemic General Assembly meeting.

Salih stressed on the importance of the international cooperation to combat the pandemic and its damage as well as the importance of distributing the vaccine fairly on all countries, in addition to taking all the measures needed to stop its production and marketing from being commercialized and being affected by political issues.

“Iraq with its limited resources succeeded in minimizing the pandemic’s effects because of the sacrifices of the medical staff, the citizens’ increasing awareness, the government’s support, and the help of some allies.”
