Iraqi Foreign Minister (FM) Fuad Hussein tested positive for COVID-19, according to informed sources.
Hussein's infection will prevent him from attending the Arab Foreign Ministers (FMs) consultative meeting, scheduled to be hosted in Kuwait, tomorrow, Sunday.
It is worth mentioning that, Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry headed to Kuwait on Saturday to participate in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers (FMs), set for tomorrow, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez announced.
Kuwait chairs the current 156th session of the League Council at the level of Foreign Ministers.
"Shoukry's participation aims to continue consultation with Arab FMs on various Arab files and issues, as well as coordinating positions, to promote joint Arab action mechanisms in face of different regional and international challenges," the spokesman added.
On the sidelines of his visit, Egypt's top diplomat will hold talks with his Arab counterparts on ways to boost bilateral ties as well as key issues of common interest.
