The Embassy of Iraq in Cairo has called on Iraqi citizens stranded in Egypt to contact the mission to facilitate their safe return home amid regional disruptions.
In a statement issued Monday, the embassy said exceptional circumstances in the region and the closure of airspace in several countries have forced many travelers to postpone their return to Iraq.
The embassy urged citizens facing difficulties to visit the Iraqi consular section in Cairo, noting it is working to find alternative solutions to ensure their safe repatriation. It also provided an emergency hotline for urgent cases.
The mission stressed that, under directives from Iraq’s Foreign Ministry, it is closely monitoring the situation of Iraqi nationals abroad and coordinating with diplomatic missions and the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad to provide necessary support.
