The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo celebrated Victory Day at the ambassador’s residence, bringing together diplomats, lawmakers and media figures for a commemorative event.
The ceremony opened with a musical performance by composer Youssef Abbas’s ensemble, setting a distinctive tone for the occasion. The event drew a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors, along with Egyptian parliamentarians and dignitaries who joined Iraq in marking the national anniversary.
Iraqi Ambassador Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf delivered remarks praising the courage of the Iraqi people and security forces, recalling the sacrifices made in confronting terrorism. He said Victory Day remains a symbol of national unity and the determination to build a secure and prosperous Iraq. He also thanked the attendees for sharing the occasion with the embassy.
The event concluded with cordial exchanges and group photos, reflecting the strength of Iraq’s ties with partner nations.
